This is a new collection of Under The Australian Sun using some of the designed from the previous UTAS collection but they have been re-coloured in this "Classic" colour way.

In this collection they have also re-printed the original large waratah in the black and this has also now been printed with a cream background.

This fabric collection has been very popular and won't last long!
We have loaded this new range onto our online store and you can view it by Clicking Here or go to  http://www.berrimapatchwork.com.au/shop/category/fabric-by-type/under-the-australian-sun/

New Fabric - Anastasia by Leesa Chandler

At the International Quilt Market in Houston Leesa Chandler released details of her new Culture Club Fabric Collection: Anastasia for Robert Kaufman. This will be the third collection as part of the Culture Club Story.
Anastasia is inspired by the textiles and architecture of historic Russia. Paisleys, Folkart Roses, Temples, Glassware and Traditional Costumes all played a part in the inspiration behind the range.
Leesa has once again created several patterns which were designed to use the fabrics from this collection including this cutie mouse and pin cushion
This collection has two different colourways and will be available in shop in February 2013.
This is the panel that is part of this new collection
 Love this stripe fabric.
The mauve/purple colourway. Both the colourways do have the gold accents on the fabrics.

This was a fabric pattern that I was unsure of then saw that it could be cut into square blocks, and of course I start thinking of quilting designs it could be used in.

The allover paisleys are one of my favourite patterns in this new collection.
Keep an eye out for this to be in store in February.

Quilting in the Highlands Day 4

Day 4 was our last day of Quilting in the Highlands. 4 Fantastic days of learning, laughter and more. We could not have wished for more from our teachers, who was a talented and lovely group of ladies, it had been a great joy meeting all of them and creating a friendships with all of them. The students were eager to get started on day 4 continuing their projects from the previous day. The quilts and project were all taking form and it still amazes me just how with  just different fabric the same pattern can look so different. Below are photos taken from our final day of Quilting in the Highlands.
