January Classes

We have had several classes this pass month. Here are some photos from The Fans class. This was the first time that this class had run, and the results were great. Everyone gets to pick three kits which make up 3 fans, depending on how the kit is sewn together the fans can vary.
Leonie with one of her fans which she is making for her daughter. Michelle busy at the machine, if you look closely you will see the Eiffel Tower in the block fabric
One of the colourful fans using no oriental fabrics and Annette with her fans
This picture shows how the fans can be used in a quilt, though they could look great in a single piece as a wall hanging or combined two to create a wonderful tree skirt. Here is another fan which used the black, white and red fabric. You can make out the Eiffel tower in fabric.

Stack, Slash and Sew is another January Class that we held. This is a simple class which uses fat quarters to create a simple and fast quilt. This is an ideal class to do if you make charity quilts or want a quilt that is quilt and easy to do which takes little time to make. The range of fabrics which have been used in this class are vast but they all work! All the ladies in the class had the tops near finished with only the borders to add on at home. Here are some photos from the class.

Sally sewing her final blocks together. A stunning quilt make with oriental purple fabrics.

Cheryl's Quilt All together. Sally with her quilt which is going to be a present.
