Missing Quilts

PLEASE SHARE THIS POST WITH YOUR QUILTING FRIENDS
In the past couple of week's I have been informed of a couple of quilts going missing - in Australia and in America.

Firstly the quilts in Australia that have gone missing are from one of our very loved teachers - Michele Hill. Michele has had two parcels go missing via Australia Post.
The first parcel she sent was from WA Michele wrote "It is a large box with 7kgs worth of teaching gear. Inside it are design books, quilt samples, mirrors for my designing classes and personal gifts of fabric and the precious cookbook from the Western Australian Quilters' Association . I decided to send this gear home from Pemberton in Western Australia as I had finished classes in Perth and Bunbury and did not need some of the items for Dunsborough....my gut feeling is I will never see any of it again. Here is a little of what was in the box........" you can read the full post by clicking here or going to http://williammorrisandmichele.blogspot.com/2011/11/let-down-again.html
Below are images of items that were in that box.

The second parcel that Michele has had gone missing contains a very much cherished and special quilt. I am not too sure where this quilt was being posted from but it was being sent to Michele in Adelaide. It was sent the first week of October and has not been received.

If you have any details about these quilts you can either contact us or contact Michele directly, any information would be appreciated.

Now for a quilt that has gone missing in the US. A couple of days ago I received an email from Cheryl Phillips of Phillips Fiber Art about this missing quilt. This is the email she sent
"I am writing on behalf of my friend, Sharon Schlozhauer. Her quilt, “Really ‘Wild’ Flowers! Second Season”, went missing after the Houston Quilt Festival closed, most likely on Monday, Nov. 7. I'm sure we can only imagine Sharon's heartbreak over loosing this amazing prize winning quilt.
The quilt is 62" x 64.5".
Perhaps if the quilting community reaches out through their contacts, the quilt can be recovered. If you have any information that might help in finding Sharon's quilt, relay the information to Sharon at her email address: myfaithfirst@comcast.net.
If you would like to see some of Sharon's other amazing work, go to her web site: http://www.sharonlschlotzhauer.com"
This is the quilt that has gone missing.
