A great workshop that we have on offer as part
of Quilting in the Highlands is Machine Quilting and Trapunto with
Rachelle Denneny (Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th July).
Rachelle has won numerous awards for her quilts both in Australia and Internationally.
Her quilts I have to say are simply amazing, the machine quilting is
wow and what is more amazing is that Rachelle sews these quilts on a
domestic sewing machine!
Have you every wanted to try to machine
quilt your quilts or trapunto quilting then this is the workshop that is
ideal for you. This class is suitable for beginners or for those who
are stuck in stipple mode and would like to move beyond. The first day
will cover the basics you need to know to get started with machine
quilting. Then on the second day you will take the skills you learnt on
day one and learn how easy it is to enhance and add dimension to your
quilting and or appliqué designs by “stuffing” them. You will have the
choice of two gorgeous designs inspired by Rachelle’s new quilt ‘Golden
Ivory’ (pictured).
