New Workshop w/ Meredith Woolnough

Workshop with Meredith Woolnough
Sculptural embroidery and resin embedding workshop

In this workshop we will create a range of embroidered sculptures. The sewing machine will be transformed into an unconventional drawing tool and you will be in control of every stitch allowing your creativity and imagination to run wild. By stitching onto a combination of woven and water-soluble fabrics we will create a range of experimental embroidered artworks.
The resin embedding and casting processes will also be explored in this workshop and small objects will be embedded into resin blocks creating freestanding sculptures or small jewelry pieces.
Suited to all levels. No experience is necessary but basic sewing machine operation skills will be helpful.
Date: Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th September
Workshop Cost: $210 and Supply fee $25 - This fee covers materials supplied by the tutor for the workshop including; resin, resin casting molds, use of water-soluble fabric and some embroidery threads. Additional materials for workshop will be required to be purchased and will be listed in the requirement list

Fast and Easy Log Cabin Class

Today we held out Fast and Easy Log Cabin. This is a great class as it not only uses fat quarters but the students learn a easy way to sew together a log cabin quilt.

Everyone brings such different fabrics however they always look fantastic.

Below are a taste of the blocks that were sewn together in the class, I unfortunately missed out on a couple ogf them Most of the photos below show you the 2 different layouts of the blocks: light in the middle or dark in the middle.
