Here are some photos from the day.
Leesa Chandler from Chandlers Cottage in Victoria was launching her new Culture Club with Robert Kaufman Fabrics- all very exciting and looks really good. More details to come!
Jo Morton was showing us her new ranges with Andover Fabrics
In the evening the day before the show is Sample Spree. This year there was only one line into the room. It was one very very very very long line. The photos below only show about a quarter of the line, I didn't bother going to see where the end of it was, I just waiting until it went down and then joined the end. I did pick up some goodies for the shop and to add some to my stash (I hope mum doesn't read this otherwise I will be in trouble!)
The show did start today, and this morning I took a class with Eleanor Burns of Quilt in a Day Fame. It was a fun class, no pressure which I like. We were using one of Eleanor's patterns and a charm square pack to make a small table runner. The pattern has set in seams which were really easy. The bottom photo is a picture of a quilt using the same method - just more fabric.
The show this morning was all set up ready to go. All very exciting.
I didn't take many photos inside the show today, just this one of one of the reps from Michael Miller fabric. They always set a theme for their stand which links up with a new fabric range. I don't know what the range is but it looks like they are going to have a fun show.
More photos tomorrow, I have promised Michele Hill to go and see Jason Yenter from In The Beginning Fabrics and to take some photos of her new collection -YES A BRAND NEW WILLIAM MORRIS COLLECTION! I noticed that Michele has posted some pictures of the block of the month which will go with this collection on her blog - make sure you go and check it out http://williammorrisandmichele.blogspot.com
